Qualifications
Mr. Seth U. Nwosu, MLS, LDP, CP obtained his American Bar Association-Approved (ABA) Paralegal Certificate from Phoenix College, Phoenix, Arizona. He is qualified by the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) to provide Certified Paralegal (CP) services. As a CP, Mr. Nwosu is certified to practice as a Paralegal throughout the United States and Internationally.
In addition, Mr. Nwosu is a Paralegal member of the ABA. Mr. Nwosu obtained his Master of Legal Studies (MLS) in Intellectual Property (IP) from Arizona State University - Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law (ASU Law). Mr. Nwosu was recently given the opportunity to share some tips and reflections on studying international law abroad by the American Bar Association (ABA). This feature article follows the ABA Section of Litigation/Judicial Intern Opportunity Program’s (JIOP) first feature article on Mr. Nwosu as a first-generation, self-incorporated Legal Consultant, “Five Alternative Legal Careers Beyond Courtrooms and Conventional Clients.” He recently appeared with his wife Dr. Nwosu on “Arizona Midday” (NBC12 – Arizona) and “Sonoran Living" (ABC15 – Arizona) to discuss their legal service offerings. Dr. Nwosu and her husband appeared on the podcast “Winning on Main Street” (Thryv, Inc.) discussing the accessibility of justice through affordable high-quality legal services.
Through his attendance at ASU Law, Mr. Nwosu was chosen for the honor to study law abroad at Monash University - Prato Centre (Monash), in Prato, Italy. While in attendance at Monash, Mr. Nwosu studied (Current Issues in Indigenous Rights and International Law) and (Transnational Litigation) to sharpen his practice skills during the Summer 2019 academic semester. Mr. Nwosu obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science/Pre-law from Montclair State University (MSU) in Upper Montclair, New Jersey.
Before SUN INC, Mr. Nwosu worked as a law clerk for judges and paralegal for various law offices in the public and private sectors. From legal aid, public defender, state attorney general, department of administration, consumer protection, to the superior court, Mr. Nwosu has an abundance of experience in a variety of different legal specialties. But one of the commonalities amongst all the law offices Mr. Nwosu has worked for is the overall lack of access to quality and affordable legal services. As a result of the global pandemic, many people have begun to reassess their self-value, whether their personal/economic/health and wellness goals are being met and whether their reason for being is being fulfilled.
Looking to make a difference for developing countries in IP practices that help their local businesses’ ability to succeed, Mr. Nwosu accepted an invitation from the UNIDROIT - International Institute for the Unification of Private Law and served as an Independent Researcher during the Spring 2021 academic semester in Rome, Italy. As of Fall 2021, Mr. Nwosu began his matriculation at Pepperdine University - Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) as a Ph.D. student concentrating in Global Leadership and Change.
